Review of The Nun (2018) by Astor_ — 06 Sep 2018
No doubt many would be drawn to watch this due to its link to the conjuring series with the evil nun entity which briefly appeared in its series.
The plot follows a priest and a Catholic novitiate who are sent to investigate the death of Sister Irene. Frenchie, a guy who is tasked with transporting supplies to the nun, is also tasked with meeting up with them and bringing them to the abbey. A series of strange, evil occurrences follows in their brief stay at the cursed abbey...
The scare scenes in this movies follow the likes of the Insidious series, thus it does nothing much for me it terms of scare. I do appreciate the amount of effort put into making the creepy atmosphere, with the eerie scenes and suspenseful soundtrack.
This is an okay horror movie to watch, neither spectacularly good, nor is it atrociously bad.
