I don't know what movie the reviewers were watching but I loved The Nun. The story did drag a little and there were horror cliches but it was an adventure movie with horror, highly effective jump scares and cinematography.
The acting was on point and I loved it. Props to Corin Hardy on his first major film. He's going to be a great director in horror very soon.
