Being a huge fan of Bettie Page, I was bound to see this film. As a biography, I cannot truly gauge it as I know very little about her life, but as a film it is quite good. Gretchen Mol is excellent as the legendary pinup model.
However, great as Mol's performance is, there is a glaring problem with the character. The film portrays Bettie Page as naive to the point of idiocy. I very much doubt that the real Ms. Page was so naive and in fact she has publically taken issue with that aspect of the film.
That being said, if you are a fan of Bettie Page you're bound to enjoy this film despite its faults.
