Very much a made for TV kinda film, The Notorious Bettie Page is a decidedly melodramatic affair. Being a nostalgia-buff however, I did enjoy the fashion and cinematography on a purely superficial level but I really felt the whole film just lacked some sort of conviction.
Though it is entertaining enough and Gretchen Mol gives a strong performance in the lead, if you're a Page fan (like myself) I wouldn't expect too much from this film.
