Review of The Ninth Gate (1999) by Julien E — 06 Jun 2012
The plot is interesting, yet hard to follow due to certain plot holes. Corso and Balkan perform quite well, that is, until the end of the film, but Depp's performance still pulls through. what ruins it are the cliche Hollywood satanists, for being undeveloped cliches.
Arguably, however, the presentation manages to do some justice, and the music fits very well.
