Review of The Ninth Configuration (1980) by Brian C — 21 Oct 2007
It's a film that works on so many levels.
It's impossible to pigeon hole this film, it's got moments of truly side splitting humour, genuine horror, the best bar room fight ever filmed and it dares to shout questions that other films rarely whisper.
Stacey Keach is a revelation.
Surely he is one of the biggest stars Hollywood failed to promote.
It forms the second part of a trilogy which began with The Exorcist and ended with that other mangled masterpiece The Exorcist III.
Give the film the attention it deserves and it will haunt you for the rest of your life.
