Review of The Nines (2007) by Lasse C — 29 Dec 2008

I have to be honest and say that there were some elements of the movie that I didn't fully understand. I got the main storyline but a lot of the symbolism eluded me in my first viewing. But that was also what made the movie so good.

I was challenged and as a result I was much more dragged into the story and the characters because I really wanted to find all the symbols. The acting was fairly good as well spearheaded by Ryan Reynolds who in my opinion gives the best performance of his career so far.

Recommended for people who want to see a movie that feels like The Matrix being done by Robert Altman.
