Usually, I never really like Ryan Reynolds, but here he gives a strong central performance, a performance that makes the movie more watchable. "The Nines" is one of those movies that you can watch to pass the time and nothing more.
It's nothing special. It ends on a dumb note and bears a lot of resemblance to a SyFy original movie, but it's weird and sort of entertaining.
