Review of The Nines (2007) by Becca D — 10 Jan 2011
Not too often do I finish a film, and not quite know whether I like it. The Nines features three stories which are all very interesting and relate back to each other quite cleverly, with actors portraying different characters in all three chapters.
The film on average keeps your attention, but at times it fails to state clearly certain things, and that affects the overall message it is trying to tell you. Ryan Reynolds is brilliant, as is Melissa McCarthy, and as is Hope Davis (the three main characters).
One thing I know I like about it is that it can be interpreted in a few different ways with no outright answer or ending, and that's pretty cool.
