Review of The Night of the Iguana (1964) by Andrew D — 24 Oct 2007
This film has a fabulous cast and script that are no less effective for a few stagey scenes (the fight on the beach). This film is about fragile broken people scrambling to maintain their tenuous hold on their own sanity.
The compassion for human frailty in the midst of the primeval setting makes a striking image and keeps the film current.
