Review of The Night of the Hunter (1955) by Jeff B — 11 Feb 2011
Excellent film directed by the great Charles Laughton and starring a very creepy and perfect Robert Mitchum as Harry Powell, a criminal preacher who marries into a family so he can steal the money that the children have.
Pretty great moments, especially the moments riding down the river, and of course, the brilliant scene with Lillian Gish and Mitchum singing together (so so creepy). One of the greats.
