A stylistically compelling film with beautiful cinematography, it's a sort of Grimm's Fairy Tale meets noir filmmaking. A lot of the film hasn't aged well, with hammy performances and numerous logical missteps from the script, but it's worth a watch -- the good outweighs the bad.
