Review of The Night Listener (2006) by Matthew F. J — 04 Oct 2013
Slow moving drama made bearable by Robin Williams understated performance. This is a marginally interesting story poorly paced and lacking cohesion. The scenes seem to stumble from one to another with little forward momentum.
Williams does a fine job connecting with the audience, however I couldn't care less about any of the other characters, not even the victim of the abuse. Could have been suspenseful and riveting, but the lazy direction just makes it average.
