The Nice Guys is clever, but not as clever as it thinks it is. I'm always happy to see an original story in the midst of the sea of sequels, however, this film is unnecessarily complicated. The plot actually detracts from the movie at times.
Still, Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling make a pretty good duo. I'd like to see them work together again.
