Review of The Nice Guys (2016) by Scraper — 14 Aug 2016
Takes a page from Inherent Vice which took a page from The Big Lebowski which did "vintage Hollywood burnout gets involved in caper" perfectly and irreplaceably. It wasn't terribly fresh but it had enough neat stuff to keep an audience interested.
It wasn't deeply detailed script-wise but it didn't aspire to be. It's a fun comic book style movie that's just fine if you don't mind graphic violence mixed with silliness.
