Review of The Nice Guys (2016) by Bubbs R — 15 Jun 2017
This film is a genuine detective film noir. Its nice to see that filmmakers are interested in making a film with a genre that isnt very popular in this day and age. Its a very well done detective film. Its also super funny. Its got a simple plot about two detectives who are looking for a missing person and discover much more. Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling have amazing chemistry and are funny together. This film is one of the funniest films i've seen in the last few years. The runtime is perfect. This film isn't to long, but it's also not to short. This film is good for what its trying to be. I understand why people like Chris Stuckmann say its their favorite film of the year. Its a genuine Detective Film Noir. It's definitely my favorite film of 2016. Overall, a great return to form for the film noir mystery genre. I Definitely recommend this excellent watch.
Rating: 10/10.
