Review of The New World (2005) by Dan D — 21 Mar 2011
Like with other Malick projects, it's hard to classify this as a film. I'd say it's closer to a painting in motion, a poem or a meditation. I felt like I was in a dream the entire time I was watching this.
Malick seems to have little skill (or perhaps concern) for telling a story the right way, but I forgive him a thousand times over.
