It is an unbelievable Terence Malick masterpiece. Every frame is motion picture poetry, so beautiful that I had goose bumps over and over again. The last hour made me cry because the chemistry was magic between Pocahontas (played by the beautiful Kilcher) and John Rolfe (played by an unusually gentle, patient and loving Christian Bale).

The title 'New World' was a nice twist because there were actually two new worlds. First new world was the native Indian territory of Americas discovered by the English explorers. Second new world was England for Pocahontas when she visited to meet the King and Queen.

Terence Malick's films are so uniquely European and beautiful that it's hard to believe that he is an American director.
