Review of The New Daughter (2009) by Colin S — 11 Dec 2011
This was an interesting movie about a family that moves to a new town out in the country. They discover a strange mound on their property and daughter Louisa enjoys playing there. This is where the movie takes a turn for the weird, and not in a bad way.
The acting here is ok. Costner doesn't turn in his best performance but it isn't poor either. There is some decent supporting acting as well. One other thing this movie makes you think about is how far you will go for your children.
Will you do what's best for them, even if it means ending their lives. Overall, this was a pretty decent movie and I say check it out if you enjoy movies of this nature.
