Review of The New Daughter (2009) by Nowvoyager — 21 Nov 2014
Was initially intrigued by the idea of Kevin Costner in a horror film. But the story was just plain awful. Why does single, sensitive dad not catch on sooner to the fact that something is wrong? Why does the young actress who plays his daughter have such trouble expressing anything but dullness? What's with the excessive growling, screeching and other predictably scary noises? And what was Kevin thinking when he signed on? If they pay me, I will come? Many funny Costner quotes may pass through the viewer's mind as s/he watches this disappointing flick.
They could've titled it something like Dances With Voles. Yuk.
