How long has it been since we've seen Kevin Costner in a movie? Honestly, he's made one movie each year for the past few years, but this is his best movie since 'Tin Cup' (14 long years).

Based on the description for this movie, you would assume it's like several other bad seed children thrillers like 'Godsend' or 'Orphan' or 'Hide and Seek'. However, once this movie takes off (and it does take awhile), it goes in a direction that is simply chilling.

I had NO idea how terrifying this film was going to be. I was not prepared. I was ready to see some dumb plot twist like so many before it, but this one changes gears and truly shocks you. Don't let the plot description fool you into thinking that you're going to get another 'The Good Son' or 'The Haunting in Connecticut'.

This movie is fresh and original and is ultimately for the hard core shocker thrill seekers who have to almost cover their face like a little girl. If you can make it through half the film (maybe a little fast forward action), you will be pleased at the end result and what this director was able to accomplish.
