Review of The NeverEnding Story (1984) by James O — 21 May 2011
A stellar kid's film that even adults could enjoy. Along the way we're invited into a confusing and bizarre world but structure is somehow salvaged amongst the mess of plotline. Most of the characters are creepy but there's plenty of adventure and a flying dog to keep us amused.
A flying golden retriever. The film's so weird you never really start to question why there' a giant flying golden retriever. He's one of the more sane inventions we meet. I think the princess at the end may have been one of my first crushes when I watched as a 7 year old boy so added props for her.
Yeah, it's really odd, not sure if I get it at all but has so much going on that it's hard not to enjoy.
