Review of The Negotiator (1998) by Elaine M — 09 Feb 2009
Extremely predictable crime thriller, that is saved only by the watchableness of Samuel L. Jackson, and the sheer brilliance of Kevin Spacey (any movie in which Kevin Spacey says "You have no idea what I'm capable of" is worth seeing).
'The Negotiator' has little to stand on by itself, and most of the ideas can be found done better in Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Inside Man, and 24, but it's still a pretty enjoyable watch.
