Review of The Navigator (1924) by Curtis M — 05 May 2009
The Navigator was made in the prime of Keaton's career and is one of his best features. Keaton plays a fun variant of his character, as a rich and ignorant dimwit. The gags are plentiful, and the film includes one of my favorite Keaton sequences, that being the scene in which Buster and his girl keep getting frightened at night.
Though Keaton would later top himself with Sherlock Jr. and The General, he had really hit his stride with The Navigator, and the film definitely deserves a spot in the top five best Keaton films.
