Call me un-American, but I found this film terribly overrated. At times it felt a bit like a soap opera with the life-threatening illness and the son he never knew he had. Many call this the best baseball movie of all-time.
It wouldn't even make my top five. In fact I think I'd rather sit through that crappy Ed movie where the monkey plays ball with Matt LeBlanc.
