This is my all time favorite sports movie of all time. There's no better baseball movie that conveys the importance of the game to American culture. It really "hits home" for me. (Sorry if that was corny.
) Robert Redford is great and Barry Levinson did a stellar job directing. And how could I forget Randy Newman's unforgettable score. It really makes the movie that much better. "The Natural" is flawless and I love it more every time I watch it.
