Review of The Natural (1984) by Scott W — 22 Oct 2009
When a movie is made based on a book, much more often than not the book is better. And having just read Bernard Malamud's novel, through most of this movie I was pretty disappointed. It just didn't have the same emotional power throughout.
But the last 30 minutes or so are pretty special, even though you know what's going to happen. Certainly not a traditional sports movie but one worth watching.
