Beautifully shot. The idyllic rural settings, quaint, turn-of-the-century American towns, the big finale scoreboard fireworks, all make the movie a pleasant place to be. Great story, happy ending, you don't have to be a baseball fan to enjoy it.
The only problem is Glenn Close just isn't pretty enough to pull off that part as the love interest.
