After all the critical acclaim and fanfare, to say that I was disappointed is a major understatement. There was a cheesy plot with all sorts of holes and awkward physical acting by guys that are supposed to be professional athletes.

You know it's not going to be a good sports movie when they rarely ever show the actors actually throwing or hitting the ball. Can't figure out why this movie is so beloved... If you're looking for a nostalgic baseball film, stick to Field of Dreams.
