Review of The Nanny Diaries (2007) by Scott W — 19 Jul 2009

I actually liked this more than I thought I would. That's mostly because of the performances of Laura Linney and Paul Giamatti, who are so spot on as Mr. and Mrs. X. I know it's exaggerated some but you know that there are families out there like that.

Scarlett isn't the best actress in the world but she is likable enough (at least for guys). I could have done without some of the whimsical stuff -- I can understand a Mary Poppins parallel without hearing Chim-Chim Cheree playing in the background.
