Review of The Namesake (2006) by Techy L — 05 May 2009
Started too slow, and then suddenly seemed to wrap up too quickly. I couldn't feel as much for Gogol as I wanted to (perhaps due to the fact that I am not a first generation Indian American male), but gravitated more to the parents' story and their relationship with eachother and their families.
I found myself, much as I felt after reading the book, wanting something a bit more compelling.
