Review of The Namesake (2006) by Naische F — 06 Jul 2008
Not bad, you get the usual immigrant saga in the New World and the resulting eventual struggles that evolve between the generations.. Well fimed with many subtle nuanced performances from the leads and good cinematography.
It was weird seeing Kal Penn (from 'Harold & Kumar' fame) acting in a dramatic turn, but it someho worked. My only complaint is that I felt some of the supporting cast were seen as carricatures and a bit too one-dimensional when compared to the leads.
