Review of The Namesake (2006) by Valerie W — 14 Aug 2008
A story of leaping across cultures; the feeling of rootlessness and loneliness it brings in its wake. The narrative touched my heart, but mostly on the fringes. There was something about the treatment; perhaps too many scenes and events strung together that never allowed the thoughts of the viewer to settle long enough - that took away from it.
Acoss the board, the acting was good.
Enjoyable!
