Review of The Namesake (2006) by Mark P — 15 Dec 2008
A well-done little film about Indian-Americans that successfully creates a universal story about the distance between generations. Zack Penn is quite affecting as Gogol, the son who builds barriers between himself and his heritage without really even thinking about it.
Any father/son story is always going to have a easier time working for me, but I foud this to be well-made and well acted. Definately worth taking a look at.
