Review of The Namesake (2006) by Barry C — 01 Mar 2009
This is a visually stunning film. Beyond that, however, it is a moving story of a family negotiating its values and its dreams across several decades and generations. It is worth a watch, just to enjoy the storytelling; but it is also worth a watch to see a good performance by Kal Penn as someone other than Kumar.
