Review of The Namesake (2006) by Florence D — 22 Apr 2009
This was a very good movie in regards to the indian ethnicity, and culture. It expresses so many lessons, and virtues of life (such as getting used to living in a different country, or finding a purpose for you name).
It was a journey filled movie. Kal Pen did a nice job as the lead role, and the rest of the cast (mostly unknowns to the U.S. ) were very well casted, and they all had great performances. There was so much to tell through this movie, and I felt that it didnt dissapoint (thru its expression of love, finding your place in life, or the understanding of your name).
Great movie and definitely worth a watch.
