Review of The Name of the Rose (1986) by Matt D — 16 Nov 2007
This movie sucks you in. Sean Connery does not seem like he could be a monk in a mideavle monastary, but the truth is, he plays the role very nicely. I did not figure out the mystery till he revealed it, yet all the clues were there, right under my nose.
The plot is tightly scripted, the history is palpable, the visuals are great, and the acting is tour de force.
