Review of The Name of the Rose (1986) by Ian R — 16 Sep 2011
I'd seen this many years ago but decided to buy the DVD and re-watched it and thoroughly enjoyed it all over again. Connery is immense as William of Baskerville, a monk trying to solve a series of mysterious deaths at an abbey.
The film has a number of twists and turns until reaching a satisfying ending. Well worth a watch even if it does feel a little dated now.
