Review of The Name of the Rose (1986) by Robert M — 25 Oct 2012
Thoroughly enjoyable medieval detective story with a cast full of some of the oddest looking men ever. Even Ron Perlman isn't ugly enough and wears a prosthetic pig nose! Less grim than I usually like my Middle Ages and quite fantastical (is that a word?) but then it is nice to get a happy ending now and then.
Christian Slater is about twelve in this.
