Should have been so much better, but the pairing of two great actors, Robert Ryan and James Stewart didn't work for me with Ryan's sarcastic character who didn't quite seem to get under the skin completely of Stewart's ultra-serious character.
Just not much driving this film and the parts are much greater than the sum.
