While not as groundbreaking as Airplane, The Naked Gun is just as funny. Leslie Nielson solidifies his rebirth as a comedic actor with this winning spoof of cop movies. Ricardo Montalban brings it all together with his smirking rendition of the villain.
The wacky formula of the Zucker Brothers would get tiresome into the 90's, but it still works quite well here.
