Review of The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad! (1988) by Baurushan J — 30 Jul 2013
The story is about Lt. Frank Drebin played by the late Leslie Nielsen, may he R.I.P. who searches for the Mister Big when his partner is shot full of holes by drug dealers. Frank suspects above-reproach shipping magnate Vincent Ludwig played by Ricardo Montalban, but he can't prove a thing.
Kicked out of the force by the mayor, Frank along with the unexpected assistance of Ludwig's ex-girlfriend, manages to nab the bad guy at a baseball game where Reggie Jackson has been programmed to assassinate Queen Elizabeth.
This movie has its laughs and fans of spoof movies will enjoy this film and it's a prime example of how to make a good spoof movie. The Naked Gun - From the Files of Police Squad! is a good, clever, funny movie that still lives up to this day and gets a 8/10.
