Not really the same kind of movie that I usually enjoy. I'm not a huge fan of the slap-stick comedy, but enjoyed a few of the jokes every once in a while. The movie obviously did whatever it could to make fun of the police movies common in every decade, though not as over the top as the Hot Shots films.
The film is obviously infamous given the number of times that it airs on TV and the fact that it's not overly crude in the sexual or language settings. The film was too tongue-in-cheek and although I can say I've seen it now, that's about the only benefit I can say.
It was by no means the worst movie - but just not something that I'm terribly interested in watching the sequels of.
