Review of The Naked City (1948) by Darren P — 26 Apr 2012
Superb noir, with a complex plot and unparalleled view of the city in all its gritty splendor (hence the title, as Dassin persuades the metropolis to lift its voluminous skirts). Great, crisp cinematography, hugely influential (if rarely matched).
A must see.
