Review of The Musketeer (2001) by Erich B — 10 Jun 2008
If you just want to sit an watch pure action, this movie is for you. There is absolutely no thought required. There is little to no character development, which make it difficult to like or even root for anyone. The story of the Musketeers is pretty much non existent. I did however like the portrail of the Queen, she is a very strong independent female character that despite the work or the King and the Cardinal is very capable of holding her own. You can really see the intelligence behind her eyes.
The action sequence while somewhat unrealistic were impressive, well orchestrated, and fun to watch.
