Review of The Muppets Take Manhattan (1984) by Ryan P — 07 Nov 2011
While not the strongest Muppets release, this is still a classic and one of their best. Kermit the Frog really takes charge and becomes a more likeable, strong protagonist than in any of the other Muppet films.
Some zingy one-liners and great songs, particularly the genuinely sad "Saying Goodbye", the most emotional and heartfelt of all the Muppets tunes. Also notable for introducing The Muppet Babies, which would go on and become a successful (and quite good) cartoon series.
