Review of The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992) by Jordan B — 23 Dec 2009

Very excellent and humorous, without losing the spirit or even most of the language of the book. A lot of the dialogue was verbatim! Michael Caine delievers an excellent performance as Scrooge, and the Muppets come up with a convincing supporting cast--Kermit as Bob Cratchit, Miss Piggy as his wife, Fozzie the Bear as Fezziwig (or Fozziewig, as teh name is changed), teh Hecklers as Jacob and Robert Marley (they had to add a second character to avoid breaking them up, so what would be more natural than Bob Marley?) I think that is the most memorable part--the Hecklers and Scrooge in his home.

Very fun.
