Review of The Mummy (2017) by Ravissary79 . — 24 Jun 2017
Better than I thought. Tom Cruise was refreshing as a morally compromised soldier of fortune with a remnant of remaining heroism. Sophia is amazing. The horror elements are few but are handled effectively. The effects are solid, and the lore in the film along with Russell Crowe's accompanying performance is a real treat.
I'm not sure I like the idea of the ending, but it's interesting none the less, and might prove for a unique return when the sequel or crossover comes.
