Review of The Mummy (2017) by Ryan Y — 22 Jun 2017
I went and saw "The Tom Cruise" to see if there was a cameo by the Mummy, and she does show up for some of the movie. There are many pointless action scenes created just for Tom Cruise that really don't need to exist, and in some cases ruins the story.
Tom does give a great performance, but the characters are total bullshit with bullshit dialog and bullshit situations. I know it's fiction, but usually humanity is still humanity. The Mummy really didn't matter, it could have been a unicorn with a magic powers without changing much of the story.
This being the third attempt at starting a multi-universe (I Frankenstein, Dracula Untold), and probably the worst, I'm not sure where they will go next. I know they have scheduled The Bride of Frankenstein next, cause that makes sense?
