Review of The Mummy (2017) by Yodachm — 20 Jun 2017
The set pieces are wonderful, the acting is ok, but the plot is a mess. The film didn't feel like a mummy movie, it didn't even feel like a monster movie. I don't really know what to compare it to. The first 20 minutes of the film were actually quite good and one scene in particular will bring out some emotions if you are a history buff.
There is also a small easteregg in the film for those who are fans of the Brendan Fraser mummy movies. I recommend you'd watch it, but don't expect a lot from it.
